Coborn’s names Scott Winburn senior director of pricing strategy
Winburn is reprising that role with the retailer, effective Nov. 25
Coborn’s has brought back Scott Winburn as its senior director of pricing strategy, effective Nov. 25.
In this role, Winburn will be responsible for shaping pricing strategies to optimize profitability and market share, the St. Cloud, Minn.-based Coborn’s said in a LinkedIn post.
Winburn previously served as Coborn’s senior category manager and director of center store merchandising and pricing strategy. He most recently held leadership roles at Rouses Markets and Alex Lee, Inc., where he implemented pricing strategies for over 650 independent retailers.
In other hiring news for the retailer, Coborn’s also recently named Joshua Wing as VP of IT. Wing started the role in early November and has over 20 years of experience in the retail sector, including within merchandising, ecommerce, inventory management, and supply chain. He previously worked at Best Buy as senior director of product management. Prior to that, Wing was at Target.
Coborn’s is employee-owned and has nearly 10,000 employees and operates 77 grocery stores across Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Illinois under the Coborn’s, Cash Wise Foods, Marketplace Foods, Hornbacher’s, Tadych’s Marketplace Foods, and Sullivan’s Foods banners. The company also operates fuel, liquor, and pharmacy locations as well as its own central bakery, dry-cleaning facility, and grocery distribution center.
