BRUSSELS — Delhaize Group here said its chief financial officer, Craig Owens, will leave the company to become the CFO and chief administrative officer for Campbell Soup Co., Camden, N.J., effective Sept. 30. Owens is a seven-year veteran of Delhaize, which operates the Food Lion, Hannaford Bros. and Sweetbay chains in the U.S. “While I truly regret to see him leave our organization, my first thought is to thank Craig for his major contributions to Delhaize Group over the past seven years and wish him the best in this new job,” said Pierre-Olivier Beckers, president and chief executive officer, Delhaize Group, in a prepared statement. The company said a search was under way for Owens' successor.

NRF NAMES SHUNK AS TECHNOLOGY VP

WASHINGTON — The National Retail Federation here announced the promotion of Karen Shunk to vice president of applications development. In this role, she will manage the design, development, testing and implementation of in-house software applications, and the review/selection of all packaged software applications. For the last four years, Shunk worked as senior director, technology standards. Prior to joining NRF's IT department, Shunk served as senior director, member services. She came to NRF from Food Marketing Institute.
