Restaurant Group Adds Manager

estaurant Association Educational Foundation here has appointed Julie Goldberg to the new position of communications manager.

Her responsibilities include developing and implementing media relations strategies, editing several foundation newsletters and handling other aspects of external communication. She reports directly to Caitlin Storhaug, director of communications.

Goldberg comes to the NRA from the National Cattlemen's Beef Association, where she was public relations manager.

Minyard Realigns Management

COPPELL, Texas -- Positioning itself for future expansion, Minyard Food Stores here announced the following executive changes:

Arley Morrison has been named senior vice president of perishables, placing him in charge of all perishables departments including produce, bakery, deli and home-meal replacement. He was vice president of meat operations. James Murdock has been appointed director of meat and seafood operations. He was district manager.

Doug White is now director of produce operations. He had been assistant produce buyer. George Timms has been named director of bakery operations. He was director of deli operations.

Shane Keil is now director of deli operations. He had been director of bakery operations. Nita Tucker, formerly director of specialty, gourmet and floral, will oversee home-meal replacement.

Also, Jim Gordon, formerly director of produce operations, has been named Sack 'n Save merchandiser.

Two Named at Rich Products

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Rich Products Corp. here has announced two appointments.

Michael J. Cannon has been named associate director of marketing communications for the marketing development group. He had been manager of marketing communications. In his new position, Cannon is responsible for advertising, merchandising and marketing services. He reports to Diane Austin, vice president of the marketing development group.

Prior to joining Rich's in 1995, Cannon worked for Perk Development Corp., where he served as vice president of marketing.

Michael J. Ensalaco has been named to the position of national account manager -- Ahold. Reporting directly to vice president of sales of the bakery division, John Wellenzohn, Ensalaco is handling primary sales and account management responsibilities for all Ahold divisions.

Ensalaco had served as category manager for the category management team at Rich's.
