Gelson’s Markets announces departure of key senior executives

Gelson’s Markets, a grocery chain in Southern California, today announced the departure of four senior executives as part of a strategic realignment of its leadership team. This decision reflects the company’s commitment to strengthening its merchandising and operational infrastructure and driving new opportunities for growth, Gelson’s said in a statement.

Effective immediately, Paul Kneeland, SVP Merchandising and Sales; Tim Mahoney, SVP Store Operations; Yvonne Manganaro, SVP Customer and Team Experience; and Ron Johnson, Chief information and supply chain officer, will no longer be with the company. 

Interim leadership will be appointed to ensure a smooth transition while the company completes the redesign of its executive leadership structure and completes a search for key executive roles, Gelson’s said in a statement.
