Brenda Kirk of Overwaitea Food Group has been promoted to the position of VP, centre of store merchandising, announced the company’s president Darrell Jones.

Kirk will have responsibility for all center store merchandising deliverables for Overwaitea and continue to report to Blendle Scott, Overwaitea’s SVP, merchandising and business development.

Kirk, who was most recently general manager of centre store, has 35 years of operational and corporate office experience, 15 of which were spent as a key contributor to Overwaitea’s merchandising strategy development and execution. She’s played a pivotal role in developing and evolving the Langley, British Columbia company's Own Local, Always Lowest Guaranteed, Fresh Solutions and What’s New programs, according to the retailer.

“I am so thrilled about this new opportunity with OFG and am very thankful for the support that I’ve received from both the OFG family and my own family — my husband Bob and three children Kassidi, Mitchell and Stacey, who are so important to me,” said Kirk in a statement.
