Village Appoints Van Orden Controller

SPRINGFIELD, N.J. — John L. Van Orden has been appointed to serve as the controller and principal accounting officer of Village Super Market here, the company said in a government filing.

SPRINGFIELD, N.J. — John L. Van Orden has been appointed to serve as the controller and principal accounting officer of Village Super Market here, the company said in a government filing.

The company's previous principal accounting officer, Kevin Begley, continues to serve as Village's principal financial officer, treasurer and director.

Van Orden joined Village from KPMG LLP, where he worked in the audit practice for the past nine years. Village operates a chain of 28 supermarkets under the ShopRite name in New Jersey, Maryland and Pennsylvania.
