Paul Gotthelf, Bob Rohlander and Roger Savoia of Wakefern Food Corp. were moved into new leadership roles in the company, COO Joe Sheridan announced Monday.

Gotthelf, VP of retail operations, was recently named VP of engineering. With nearly two decades of experience at Wakefern, Gotthelf has expansive knowledge of retail store operations that will help inform future store design in his new role as VP of Engineering. He succeeds current engineering VP Dennis Daniels, who retires in January.

Rohlander, VP of the meat division at Wakefern, will take over as VP of retail operations. Rohlander brings 30 years of Wakefern experience with him to his new position. He has worked closely in the past with Wakefern members to drive sales, improve efficiency and expand product offerings in the meat division.

Savoia, meat procurement manager, was promoted to VP of the meat division. Savoia joined Wakefern in 2001 and his work as a merchandiser and then procurement manager, along with his strong focus on customer service, will help him continue to expand and grow the meat division at Wakefern.

“We are excited that these three executives are taking their institutional knowledge, leadership abilities and accomplishments to new roles at Wakefern. We congratulate them and wish them well,” Sheridan said.

Wakefern, Keasbey, N.J., is the cooperative whose members operate the ShopRite chain.
