Weis Markets has promoted John Grimes has to vice president of meat and seafood. Dale Lubold has also been promoted to director of seafood.
In the newly created position, Grimes will oversee the merchandising and procurement of the company’s meat and seafood departments. Prior to his promotion, he was director of meat and seafood. Grimes joined the company in 2008. Earlier in his career, he worked in various meat and perishable merchandising positions at Price Chopper. He reports to Richard Gunn, senior vice president of merchandising and marketing.
Lubold, who joined the company in 1994, worked as a seafood senior category manager prior to his promotion. In his new position, he will oversee the day-to-day procurement and merchandising of the company’s seafood department. He will continue to report to John Grimes.
Founded in 1912, Weis Markets, Inc. is a Mid Atlantic food retailer operating 163 stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, New York and West Virginia.
