MONTVALE, N.J. — A&P here on Friday celebrated the reopening of a SuperFresh store in Roxborough, Pa., that had been closed for several years. The 47,000-square-foot store has been remodeled and upgraded to A&P’s Fresh prototype. “While located strategically, the facility itself was outdated, and based on our business trends at that time, we needed to take it out of the system,” Rick DeSanta, a spokesman for A&P, told SN. “In conjunction with our ongoing operating improvement, our new retail portfolio including the Fresh format, and the redevelopment of the shopping center where it’s located, we decided to move forward with this project, and anticipate great success there.”
