Ahold Enjoys New Private Label

QUINCY, Mass. - Ahold USA here has introduced a new upscale private label in its Stop & Shop, Giant-Landover and Giant-Carlisle divisions. Touted as “everyday luxuries at affordable prices,” Simply Enjoy includes frozen entrees, appetizers and desserts, as well as dry grocery and dairy. The line was launched “to give more variety to customers,” said Scott Hutzal, frozen food buyer, Stop & Shop. This week‘s Stop & Shop circular promotes Simply Enjoy premium coffee, 12 ounces, at $4.99; cookies, 7 ounces, 2 for $5; and frozen eclairs, 11.1- to 13.2-ounce box, $4.99. Carol Angrisani
