WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Aldi will build a 500,000-square-foot warehouse and office here, city officials confirmed this week.

The new facility will be used for divisional headquarters and support further expansion of stores in Florida — between 60 and 70 new stores in South Florida, according to a report in the Sun-Sentinel newspaper. The project represents a $50 million investment for Aldi, the Batavia, Ill.-based discounter.
