Aldi kicks off year with new stores in Florida and California
The discount grocer adds two markets to its growing roster of U.S. locations
Aldi is opening two new locations on Jan. 4 in Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and Visalia, Calif., both of which are in new markets for the discount grocer.
The Visalia store is located at 4320 S. Mooney Blvd. and will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The Fort Walton Beach store is at 427 Mary Esther Cutoff NW and will operate from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., the grocer said.
Aldi is handing out Aldi Golden Ticket gift cards to the first 100 shoppers at the Visalia store on opening day, and the first 100 shoppers at the Fort Walton Beach will receive a gift card and a gift bag with Aldi products.
Shoppers at both stores can enter a sweepstakes during the opening weekend for a chance to win a $500 Aldi gift card.
The grocer opened 14 stores across multiple states in December, launching 10 on Dec. 7 and four more on Dec. 21. Aldi said it aimed to open 120 new stores in 2023 and added about 400 potential new locations with the purchase of Winn-Dixie and Harveys Supermarkets.
