CHANDLER, Ariz. — Bashas' here said Friday it has scheduled four job fairs over the next two weeks — three in metropolitan Phoenix and one in Tucson — to fill more than 400 full-time and part-time positions at its Bashas', Food City and AJ's Fine Foods stores.

The company had cut back on store labor during the period when it was operating under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, which ended last September, Kristy Nied, director of communications and public affairs, told SN. "But business has been picking up — sales are up and customer counts are up — and we need to make sure the stores are staffed appropriately to meet the demand."

Bashas' said it is seeking to fill a wide variety of store and warehouse positions.

The company said it will host events Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at three separate campuses of the University of Phoenix and a final event on May 10 at the Tucson Convention Center. Each event will last from 9 a.m. till 4 p.m., the company said.
