MAULDIN, S.C. — Tye Anthony, executive vice president of sales and marketing at Bi-Lo, announced new leadership roles in three positions Tuesday. Steve Mayer was tapped to be group vice president for perishables. Mayer, who has served as vice president of produce/floral marketing since joining the company in 2003, has more than 25 years of experience in the grocery business. In his new role, he will be responsible for meat, seafood, produce, floral and deli/bakery marketing. John Gianakas has been named vice president of brand marketing and sales planning. Gianakas is a 19-year veteran of Bi-Lo and has held key roles in store management, human resources and most recently served as vice president of category management support. Rob Mould was promoted to a new position in the company, vice president of Center Store category management, from his previous role as senior director for non-perishables. He will have direct accountability for all non-perishable category management teams and category management analytics.
