SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Big Y is testing a shop-from-home service in its Cooley St. Big Y World Class Market store here. “BIGY2GO” allows shoppers to place their orders online via a link on the bigy.com website. The link brings users to a website owned by MyWebGrocer. A specially trained store associate personally picks the items. Special instructions such as "green bananas" or "extra-lean turkey" are accepted. Customers can pick up their orders in a designated pickup area at a prescheduled time. Groceries are brought out and loaded into their car. The fee is $10.
