The Consumer Product Safety Commission yesterday recalled thousands of football bobblehead cake decorations manufactured in China and distributed in the U.S. by Anoka, Minn.-based DecoPac due to excessive lead content in the toys’ paint.

WASHINGTON — The Consumer Product Safety Commission yesterday recalled thousands of football bobblehead cake decorations manufactured in China and distributed in the U.S. by Anoka, Minn.-based DecoPac due to excessive lead content in the toys’ paint. Giant Food and Stop & Shop yesterday issued their own recalls of the products. The recalled bobbleheads were distributed between January 2006 and October 2007.
