“Once we finalized the agreement we immediately began the conversion process,” said Mike Terry, Brookshire Grocery Co. executive vice president, retail operations, in a statement. “It took a total team effort from across our company, but we’ve been able to make the transition before Thanksgiving.”

He said the company was planning more extensive remodels at some point in the future.

“Our priority was getting these stores back open so people could grocery shop,” he said.

Further information about Brookshire’s plans for remodeling the stores was not immediately available. Brookshire operates more than 150 locations in Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas.
