GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. — Dollar General is bringing its DG Market grocery concept to three California sites that formerly operated as Sam’s Food City, local reports said Monday.

Sam’s Food City, a small grocery chain based in Modesto, Calif., closed its stores earlier this year. According to the Modesto Bee newspaper, Dollar General will open Market stores at former Sam’s sites in Modesto, Turlock and Livingston, Calif., as part of a wider regional rollout.
