GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. — Dollar General here will build a new, 900,000-square-foot distribution center in Bethel Township, Pa., officials said.

The $100 million project is expected to create at least 500 new jobs and an additional 75 indirect trucking jobs, local reports said. Dollar General received a $2.2 million funding offer from the Department of Community and Economic Development, including a $1 million PA First grant, $225,000 in job training assistance and $1 million in Job Creation Tax Credits, according to Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett.

Dollar General plans to start construction this fall, and begin hiring in the fall of 2013. The facility would be Dollar General’s 12th warehouse.
