Family Dollar Names Morgan to Board of Directors

Harvey Morgan has been named to Family Dollar’s board of directors, the retailer said.

MATTHEWS, N.C. — Harvey Morgan has been named to Family Dollar’s board of directors, the retailer here said. Morgan is currently a managing director of Bentley Associates, an investment banking firm, and has more than 30 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, strategic advisories, private placements and underwritings. He is a former director at Burlington Coat Factory. The appointment is an addition to Family Dollar’s board, which now totals nine members, including seven independent directors.
