NEW YORK -- The National Association of the Specialty Food Trade here will no longer co-locate its Spring Fancy Food Show with the Food Marketing Institute Show in Chicago after 2007, according to Tim Hammonds, president and chief executive officer, FMI. A spokesman for the NASFT could not be reached for comment. As SN reported yesterday, FMI will stage a booth show in Las Vegas in 2008 and will co-locate there with the United Fresh Produce Association show. Talks are ongoing with The Organic Trade Association and the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture about co-location with FMI in the future. An education-only conference will take place in Dallas in 2009. -- MARK HAMSTRA
