The first video, “Americans Go to the Supermarket 1.7 Times per Week,” features research from FMI’s 2013 “Trends” report about consumer shopping frequency among different formats. It features a one-minute-plus slide-show style presentation with background music.
The animated series is being produced with Washington, D.C.-area web design and e-marketing agency Matrix Group.
“As the voice of the food retail industry, FMI continues to invest in research that maps the changing food retail landscape and identifies new ways of presenting the trends in its vast library,” FMI said in a statement. “The supermarket facts video series, resulting from the creative collaboration between FMI and Matrix Group, brings to life these major industry trends.”
