The 80,000-square-foot store is set to open May 14, a Hy-Vee spokeswoman told SN. The store was built at the site of a former shopping mall that was demolished a year ago.

Hy-Vee expanded to Wisconsin with a store in Madison in 2010. It is at work on a third store in Fitchburg, Wis., expected to open later this year.
