Kroger Co. yesterday said it has been inducted into the Billion Dollar Roundtable, a group of businesses that purchase $1 billion or more annually in supplies and services form minority- and women-owned businesses.

CINCINNATI -- Kroger Co. here yesterday said it has been inducted into the Billion Dollar Roundtable, a group of businesses that purchase $1 billion or more annually in supplies and services form minority- and women-owned businesses. The group has 13 other members, including Procter & Gamble, also based here, and Wal-Mart Stores, Bentonville, Ark. “Minority and women-owned business partners are important to Kroger’s success,” said Carver Johnson, Kroger’s chief diversity officer.
