"This year's recipients are true icons of our industry [because of] their unwavering dedication to the success of our industry and their unselfish and devoted commitment to the communities they serve," said Ronald Fong, foundation president.

The induction dinner is scheduled for April 11 at the Sheraton Fairplex Hotel in Pomona, Calif.

Lee joined Stater Bros. as group senior vice president, retail operations in 2002 after 30 years in the industry, including 25 years with Ralphs Grocery Co., Compton, Calif., where he ultimately served as group vice president of the chain's central division; and five years as president and chief operating officer of Wild Oats Markets.

Chiono has been in sales and marketing for over 36 years, including 26 years with Coca-Cola. Earlier he worked at Unilver as a sales representative.

The Hall of Achievement was created in 1993 to recognize retailers and suppliers who have contributed substantially to the advancement of the California grocery industry.
