Lena's to Buy Two Milwaukee Jewel-Oscos

MILWAUKEE -- Lena's Food Market here said Friday it would purchase two of the Jewel-Osco stores in this market that Supervalu had said it planned to close. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Lena's, which operates four stores in the market, said it would convert the stores to the Lena's Food Market banner and stage grand openings in the spring. As previously reported, Supervalu is selling five Jewel-Oscos in the market to Roundy's Supermarkets, also based here, and is seeking buyers for the remaining 10 stores.
