TEWKSBURY, Mass. — Demoulas Market Basket’s first store in the state of Maine is set to open Sunday, the company here said.
The Market Basket in Biddeford, Maine, is 108,000 square feet and is expected to employ more than 400 workers.
The store would be the 71st in the chain and the 23rd new Market Basket store in the last five years.

Local reports said the store will include a Market Café and a 48-seat dining area. Prepared-food offerings will include sushi, sandwiches, pizza, rotisserie chicken and burritos, according to the Portland Press Herald.
Other supermarkets in Biddeford include a Shaw’s and Hannaford, plus several independents and a Wal-Mart Supercenter.
