TORONTO — A warehouse servicing Dominion, A&P and Food Basics stores in Ontario has reopened after public health officials ordered it shut for two days because of a mouse infestation, reports said. The warehouse was ordered closed by Toronto’s health department after an inspection revealed the infestation, but was reopened after two days on a conditional basis and given a “green pass,” the city’s highest rating, on Friday, according to the Toronto Star newspaper. A spokeswoman for Montreal-based Metro Inc., which owns the stores and warehouse, told the newspaper that some stores experienced temporary shortages in certain food categories as a result of the warehouse shutdown. She stressed there was no health risk to consumers.
