BOSTON -- MobileLime here, a provider of mobile phone marketing and payment platforms, today announced its merger with Cuesol, Quincy, Mass., best known for the software that drives Stop & Shop‘s Shopping Buddy shopping cart screen. Cuesol has also developed deli kiosk applications, as well as the DeliVision queue management system. MobileLime‘s phone-based loyalty and text-messaging programs are in place in several independent food retailers, including Chevy Chase Marketplace, Broadway Marketplace, Potash Bros. and Ring Bros. “The merger with Cuesol offers the opportunity to measurably improve the shopping experience by bringing together cell-phone-based rewards and promotions with interactive, self-service shopping,” said Robert Wesley, president and chief executive officer, MobileLime., who will serve in that capacity for the merged company. Initially, the companies will continue to market their products under their respective names, said Wesley. He added that announcements of new installations of Cuesol and MobileLime applications will “follow shortly.” -- Michael Garry
