LAS VEGAS The National Grocers Association elected 11 new members to its 45-member board of directors prior to the start of its annual convention here last month. LAS VEGAS — The National Grocers Association elected 11 new members to its 45-member board of directors prior to the start of its annual convention here last month.

Newly elected retail directors are Ken Fiedler, president, Ken's Supermarkets, Aberdeen, S.D.; Eric Hench, chairman, Chief Supermarket, Defiance, Ohio; Alan Hitchcock, president, Hitchcock & Sons, Alachua, Fla.; Roger Lowe Jr., vice president and chief executive officer, Pay & Save, Littlefield, Texas; Michael Provenzano, president and CEO, Pro Ranch Markets, Ontario, Calif.; and Edward Roche, president, Roche Bros. Supermarkets, Wellesley, Mass.

Newly elected wholesale directors are Neal Berube, executive vice president and chief operating officer, Associated Food Stores, Salt Lake City; James Buch-anan, president and CEO, Laurel Grocery Co., Laurel, Ky.; Dean Janeway Jr., vice president, retail services, for Key Food Stores Cooperative, New York; and Chris Miller, chief operating officer, Associated Grocers of Florida, Pompano Beach, Fla.

The newly elected state association executive is Kathy Kuzave, president of the Georgia Food Industry Association.
