Norton Retires From Haggen as Sr. VP

Haggen Inc. yesterday said Dave Norton, senior vice president of sales and marketing, has announced plans to retire, effective Sept. 11.

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Haggen Inc. here yesterday said Dave Norton, senior vice president of sales and marketing, has announced plans to retire, effective Sept. 11. No successor has been named yet.

Norton has been with Haggen since 1998, joining the company as vice president of center store and moving to his current post in 2001. Earlier in his career he worked for Alpha Beta Co. in Southern California, rising to the post of vice president, sales and marketing. When Alpha Beta was acquired by Food 4 Less Markets, he was named senior vice president of procurement. Prior to joining Haggen, Norton was senior vice president, retail, at Eagle Food Centers in Milan, Ill.
