PLMA Names Bond Chairman
ORLANDO, Fla. The Private Label Manufacturers Association said that Bill Bond, vice president of Willert Home Products, St. Louis, was named chairman of the board of directors of the association. He was elected at the PLMA Annual Meeting and Leadership Conference here last month. ORLANDO, Fla. — The Private Label Manufacturers Association said that Bill Bond, vice president of Willert Home Products, St. Louis, was named chairman of the board of directors of the association.
He was elected at the PLMA Annual Meeting and Leadership Conference here last month.
Prior to joining the PLMA Executive Committee in 2003, Bond was a member of the board of directors from 2000 to 2003, and also was chairman of the Household Products Industry Task Force.
Tom Chaffee, national manager, trade relations, Alcoa Consumer Products, Richmond, Va., was named first vice chairman, PLMA, and Peter Pappas, president of Clement Pappas & Co., Seabrook, N.J., was named second vice chairman.
Five individuals were named to the board of directors to serve from 2007 to 2010: Peggy Davies, McCain Foods USA; Jerry Dear, American Italian Pasta Co.; Tom Ewing, T. Marzetti Co.; Jack Kelly, San Antonio Farms; and Jim Tomshack, Perrigo. In addition, Mary Aagesen, Triad Pharmaceuticals, was elected to fill an unexpired term ending in 2008.
Gene Damon, Shuster Laboratories, was elected to serve a three-year term on the board of directors representing PLMA member suppliers, and Robert Snyder, Sinco Inc., was elected to serve a second, three-year term representing PLMA member brokers.
