Publix, NFL Buccaneers Forge Partnership

LAKELAND, Fla. — Publix Super Markets here has signed a multi-year deal to be the official supermarket of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers football team, the organizations said last week. The deal gives Publix exclusive use of the Buccaneers logo and branding in its stores and includes prominent signage at Raymond James Stadium and radio advertising on the Buccaneers radio network. Publix was an original sponsor of the Bucs when they moved to James Stadium but was replaced by Winn-Dixie Stores. Winn-Dixie terminated its contract while in bankruptcy in 2005.
