Ravitz Family Markets owns five ShopRite stores in Burlington and Camden Counties, and is in the process of planning a new ShopRite store at another site in Camden that is expected to open in 2016.
“My family and I are grateful to our new Camden neighbors for the opportunity to bring them not one but two brand new supermarkets,” Jason Ravitz, vice president of retail operations for the company, said in a statement. “Expanding our commitment to the city of Camden with the addition of a PriceRite store is a natural next step for us as we work to provide the community with fresh food at great prices.”
Last month, independent Wakefern owner Inserra Supermarkets confirmed it would open a PriceRite store in Garfield, N.J. That store marked the first PriceRite in New Jersey and the first PriceRite that would be non-corporately owned.
