MILWAUKEE — Roundy’s Supermarkets here is now hiring employees for its newest concept, Mariano’s Fresh Market, expected to open in Arlington Heights, Ill., next month.

According to a website seeking applications, the retailer is in search of as many as 200 employees “for all departments and artisan specialty centers including an eat-in sushi bar, Italian espresso and gelato cafe, European bakery, wood-fired pizza station, custom sandwiches including panini, food sampling, catering, and a wine and beer department specializing in pairings with our customers’ menus.”

Mariano’s, named for Roundy’s chairman Bob Mariano, has plans for at least two more outlets in the Chicago area in the next year.
