Safeway's Renda Named to CGA Hall of Achievement

The California Grocers Association said Friday it will induct Larree Renda, executive vice president, chief strategist and chief administrative officer, at Safeway into its Educational Foundation Hall of Achievement in March.

SACRAMENTO — The California Grocers Association here said Friday it will induct Larree Renda, executive vice president, chief strategist and chief administrative officer, at Safeway into its Educational Foundation Hall of Achievement in March. Renda will be the first female inducted into the Hall of Achievement, which was created in 1993 to recognize California retailers and suppliers who have contributed substantially to the advancement of the grocery industry. At Pleasanton, Calif.-based Safeway, Renda is responsible for all retail strategies and a broad range of administrative functions, including labor relations, public affairs, human resources, industrial engineering, re-engineering and communications; she also manages the company’s relationship with Casa Ley, a joint venture Safeway operates in Mexico. Renda will be honored at a dinner on March 11 at the San Ramon Marriott in San Ramon, Calif.
