Employees at the stores, in Shelbyville, Tullahoma, Columbia, Pulaski, Lavergne, Manchester, and Franklin, Tenn., confirmed their stores would close Dec. 9 or sooner, depending on inventory sales. Officials with Southern Family were not immediately available for comment. Southern Family, owned by an affiliate of C&S Wholesale Grocers, Keene, N.H., arrived in Tennessee through the purchase of former Bi-Lo stores a year ago. Jon Springer
