COLTON, Calif. - Stater Bros. Markets here has presented a check for $21,600 to the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program, marking the second year in a row the chain has made the largest cash donation to the local program, Stater officials said.

COLTON, Calif. - Stater Bros. Markets here has presented a check for $21,600 to the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program, marking the second year in a row the chain has made the largest cash donation to the local program, Stater officials said. The money will be used to purchase thousands of toys that will be distributed by community-based organizations in San Bernardino and Riverside counties to children and families in need during the holiday season. The donation was made possibile through a partnership between Stater and the manufacturers of its private-label products, with a portion of each purchase going to suppport the Marines' Toys for Tots program.
