ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Wegmans Food Markets is publicizing the fact that it made BusinessWeek‘s first-ever Top 25 list of businesses that excel in customer service. Wegmans is No. 5 on the list, following USAA financial services, Four Seasons hotels and resorts, Cadillac and Nordstrom. In a customer email blast, Wegmans thanked its shoppers for making it a customer service champion. “Our goal is to be the very best at serving the needs of our customers,” the email blast read. “We hope you know you can count on us to continue to serve you the best we possibly can -- every day. Based on customer surveys, the list recognizes companies that don‘t just meet customer needs, but anticipate and exceed them through innovations in technology, employee training and customer-centered strategies, according to BusinessWeek.
