Whole Foods President Joins Safeway

PLEASANTON, Calif. — Safeway here said Friday that Anthony Gilmore has been named vice president of lifestyle, the company’s name for its upscale store remodels. He will report to Rojon Hasker, president and general manager, corporate lifestyle. Gilmore most recently was president of Whole Foods’ Northern California Division, and previously had been president of that chain’s Midwest and Southeast regions. He previously had worked for Safeway’s Northern California division from 1976-1996.
