TORONTO — Two more large retailers — Sears Canada here and Lululemon Athletica, based in Vancouver — have recalled certain reusable bags, citing high levels of lead.

The recalls follow similar reports of high lead content in reusable bags sold at a handful of supermarket retailers in the U.S.

In a press release, Sears Canada said testing of one bag design — white with a green maple leaf — in three sizes, sold between July and December, "has revealed that the level of lead in this specific style of reusable shopping bag does not meet Sears standards."

Lululemon, a yoga-wear retailer, recalled certain styles of its reusable bags last week.
