Allegiance Retail Services officially debuted a new banner Oct. 11 as Green Way Markets celebrated its grand opening in Cross River, N.Y. The Westchester County store is owned and operated by brothers John, Billy and Robin Estevez, who operate 11 stores, including eight FoodTown locations. The fully remodeled store replaces a DeCicco Family Market that previously was in the location.

Allegiance’s newest banner focuses on a curated selection of prepared foods, produce, deli and fresh meats, including Ranger’s Legend beef brand, Boar’s Head deli meats, Certified Angus beef brand and Green Way brand private label products, including house cleaners and pet food. The Green Way name has origins as A&P's private-label brand since acquired by the cooperative, before becoming its latest store banner.

Green Way Markets offers a large variety of domestic and imported cheeses, fresh baked breads and a wide selection of natural and organic items. The store also features an on-premise dining area, so customers can enjoy a meal from the burger bar, which also offers non-meat options along with cold craft beer. Shoppers can also order groceries online for delivery via Instacart.

“We are looking forward to serving the consumer of northern Westchester County with all of the new features and services Green Way Markets has to offer. I would like to congratulate the entire Estevez family on the opening of their newest store,” said John T. Derderian, president and COO of Allegiance.
