BJ's Wholesale Club will open its second location in Pittsburgh on April 8 bringing the retailers total number of U.S. locations to 227. The Westborough, Mass.-based retailer said its newest location at 6270 Northway Drive in Ross Township is also its 19th club in Pennsylvania.

The new club will feature an extensive selection of fresh foods; a full-service deli; and household essentials such as paper products, cleaning products, diapers, pet supplies and more. The club will also offer an assortment of clothing, seasonal items, toys, tech and local products. It will have curbside pickup, pickup in-club and same-day delivery options, in addition to a fueling facility.

“We’re excited to expand our footprint in Pittsburgh with the opening of our new club in Ross Township,” said Ryan Yetton, club manager of BJ’s Wholesale Club in Ross Township, in a statement. “We’re looking forward to bringing BJ’s outstanding offerings to Ross Township and the surrounding community. We can’t wait for our doors to open on Friday and to serve our members.”

BJ’s said in a release that it is offering a limited-time founding member offer for local shoppers interested in joining the club now through April 7. Local shoppers can sign up for a one-year BJ’s Inner Circle membership with BJ’s Easy Renewal for $55 and get a $40 digital BJ’s gift card loaded to their membership card. BJ’s said it is also offering local shoppers an opportunity to sign up for a one-year BJ’s Perks Rewards membership with BJ’s Easy Renewal for $110 and to get an $80 digital BJ’s gift card loaded to their membership card. BJ’s said shoppers can sign up at BJs.com/RossTownship or in person at the Ross Township location.

Late last month, BJ’s announced a chainwide rollout of Same-Day Select—a membership add-on to its Same-Day Delivery service. Tim Morningstar, BJ’s EVP and chief membership officer, said in a March 30 statement that the “immense success in our testing shows that our member recognizes the added value that this service provides, further contributing to the benefits of being a BJ’s member.”

Furthering its offerings, BJ's also announced last month a partnership with DoorDash to offer on-demand grocery delivery from 226 BJ’s locations across 17 states—making it the first wholesale club available on the DoorDash marketplace. “We are excited to expand easy shopping solutions for our members, while also bringing BJ’s wide assortment and exclusive products to new potential members,” Monica Schwartz, BJ’s EVP and chief digital officer, said in a March 28 statement.
