BJ’s Wholesale Club is expanding its territory in the Great Lakes State. The Westborough, Mass.-based membership warehouse club will open a new site on Jan. 28—marking the company’s fourth club in Michigan.

The new club will be located in the Delta Crossing shopping center at 825 N. Marketplace Blvd. in Lansing, Mich.

It will feature fresh foods and produce, a full-service deli, household essentials, pet supplies and the retailer’s signature treasure-hunt experience for BJ’s members. The location will offer curbside pickup, pickup in-club and same-day delivery. The club will also include a fueling facility.

“We’re excited to expand our footprint in Michigan, with the opening our new club in Lansing,” said Nick Salowich, club manager of BJ’s Wholesale Club in Lansing. “We’re looking forward to bringing BJ’s outstanding offerings to Lansing and the surrounding community. We can’t wait for our doors to open on Friday (Jan. 28) and serve our members and community in this new year.”

BJ’s said in a release that it is offering a limited-time founding member offer for local shoppers interested in joining the club now through Jan. 27. Local shoppers can sign up for a one-year BJ’s Inner Circle membership with BJ’s Easy Renewal for $55 and get a $40 digital BJ’s Gift Card loaded to their membership card. BJ’s said it is also offering local shoppers an opportunity to sign up for a one-year BJ’s Perks Rewards membership with BJ’s Easy Renewal for only $110 and get an $80 digital BJ’s Gift Card loaded to their membership card. BJ’s said shoppers can visit BJs.com/Lansing, or sign up in person at the Lansing location.

The Lansing opening will mark BJ’s third club opening in January. Earlier this month, BJ’s opened new clubs in Commack, N.Y. and another in Port Charlotte, Fla.

Expansion is also being planned in Mount Juliet, Tenn., as plans for a new BJ's was approved by the city's planning commission as reported on Jan. 20 by the Tennessean.
