Fairway Market to reopen its 74th Street Café in New York
The café, which first opened its doors in 2001 but closed during the pandemic, is upstairs from the supermarket.

New York-based Fairway Market, branded as a grocery store that is “the place to go fooding” in New York City will also be “the place to go eating” as its second-floor restaurant above the grocery retailer’s location on 74th Street reopens on Wednesday.
The 74th Street Café, which sits above the downstairs grocery store at 2131 Broadway in New York’s Upper West Side neighborhood, will reopen its doors at 7 a.m. on Wednesday. The restaurant, which boasts views of the Beacon Theatre and Broadway first opened its doors in 2001 but closed during the pandemic.
A regular dining spot for shoppers, the café is a casual sit-down wait service with entrees made from scratch and sourced from the grocery store downstairs. A team of chefs will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, with breakfast offered all day.
Fairway Market first opened in 1954 and now operates four locations in New York and is a banner of Wakefern Food Corp.

Shoppers who use the Order.Pickup.Deliver. (OPD) online shopping service through ShopRite and The Fresh Grocer can pinpoint home delivery times and track their grocery delivery in real time.
