Foxtrot, a hybrid corner store, cafe and delivery market, is taking more steps towards increasing it store count in Texas.

The Chicago-based retailer will open its third location in Austin on Saturday. Later this year, Foxtrot will open a new location on the campus of The University of Texas at Austin.

The new store to open this weekend is situated within City Hall, at 306 W 2nd St., in the city’s 2nd Street District.

The store will offer its signature all-day café experience, along with grocery items that include local products such as Chop Chop Ramen, Lick Honest Ice Creams and more.

Earlier this year, Foxtrot CEO Mike LaVitola told WGB about the company’s plans for future growth in its current four markets of Chicago, Dallas, Austin and the Washington, D.C./Maryland/Virginia (DMV) area.

“We are continuing to focus on new store expansion and our e-commerce operations,” LaVitola said. “For the remainder of the year, we will be expanding in these four regions.”

Looking to broaden its brick-and-mortar leadership strategy, earlier this year the retailer promoted Liz Williams as its new CEO. Williams now oversees the retailer's growth in its current markets of Chicago, Washington, D.C., Dallas, Austin and in new markets across the country.

Foxtrot now operates 28 stores.
