Harris Teeter has entered into a partnership with OurHealth, a chain of “near-site” primary care clinics that will provide healthcare for its employees around Charlotte, N.C.

OurHealth said it would provide a full suite of primary care services, including wellness screenings and routine physicals, as well as acute care and health coaching for Harris Teeter’s 2,500 Charlotte-area associates and their covered dependents. Based in Matthews, N.C., Harris Teeter is a Kroger division operating more than 230 grocery stores and 14 fuel centers in the Southeast.

“Being an incredible place to work and shop starts with having associates who feel their best and provide world-class service to our shoppers,” said Danna Robinson, communication manager for Harris Teeter. “Being healthy is a big part of that equation, and we’re thrilled to be able to offer our valued associates primary care through OurHealth.”

OurHealth entered the Charlotte market in 2016 with a system of near-site clinics, which it said can provide savings of up to 17% on health plan costs through better management of chronic conditions, ER avoidance and reduced lab and drug costs. The company said its MyClinic network significantly lowers the barrier to entry by allowing employers to gain immediate access to a network of primary care clinics located within a 10-minute drive of employees' homes or workplace.
