Hy-Vee’s newly launched Hy-Vee Medicare Aisle service, which allows customers to shop and enroll in Medicare plans throughout the retailer’s eight-state region, is an extension of its commitment to health and wellness, President and CEO Randy Edeker said.

“Hy-Vee is a trusted leader in the health and wellness space, and as a retail and specialty pharmacy provider, we are deeply invested in the health and well-being of our patients and customers,” he said. “Hy-Vee Medicare Aisle is an extension of that commitment as we continue to work toward making our customers’ lives easier, healthier and happier by providing trusted, transparent and affordable health insurance plans that they can be confident in.”

The new service is the newest addition to Hy-Vee Financial Services, which is powered by Midwest Heritage, Hy-Vee’s banking, insurance and investments subsidiary, and provides customers with convenient access to financial options such as checking/savings accounts, auto/home insurance, home mortgages, consumer loans and pet insurance.

Through Hy-Vee Medicare Aisle, customers can select from coverage plans such as Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part D and Medicare Supplement Plans. To help customers review plans and determine the best coverage for them, Hy-Vee has a team of licensed insurance agents available by phone, as well as a website, www.medicareaisle.com. On Oct. 1, Hy-Vee Medicare Aisle will also launch a digital quoting and enrollment tool to further assist customers.

“Hy-Vee Medicare Aisle is committed to helping our customers select the coverage plan that best meets their healthcare needs, preferences and budget,” said Tony Kaska, chairman, president and CEO of Midwest Heritage. “Our high-touch, personalized approach allows our customers to be confident in their selections and feel prepared for their future healthcare journey.”

Individuals who are becoming eligible for Medicare can now begin shopping and enrolling into Medicare plans through Hy-Vee Medicare Aisle. Current Medicare beneficiaries can begin purchasing their 2022 Medicare plans through the service during Medicare’s Annual Enrollment Period, Oct. 15-Dec. 7, 2021.

West Des Moines, Iowa-based Hy-Vee is employee-owned and has more than 280 retail stores across eight Midwestern states.
