Foxtrot, a label-defying hybrid of urban convenience store, local market and café, is continuing its expansion in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia (DMV) region with its new Bethesda, Maryland, location opening next week, the Chicago-based chain said Thursday.

The 4,000-square-foot store, which will be located at 7262 Woodmont Ave. in the shopping and dining destination Bethesda Row, will hold its grand opening Nov. 18 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

This is the company’s first storefront in Maryland, Foxtrot said in a statement. Other Foxtrot locations in the region include Georgetown, Mount Vernon Triangle and Dupont Circle in Washington, D.C.; and Old Town Alexandria in Virginia.

The store will include an all-day café with chef-prepared meals, drinks and grab-and-go meals, as well as local craft beers and wine available in-store for pickup or with on-demand delivery through the app, Foxtrot said. Foxtrot curates its brands and products, with a focus on local. At the Bethesda Row store, shoppers can find local brands including Ceremony Coffee Beans, Dolcezza Gelato, Cookie by Drew, Manor Hill and Little Sesame hummus.

The new location includes an outdoor patio for warmer weather gatherings, and during the colder months, shoppers can gather at the indoor bar or in the main dining area.

With more than 150 products from over 50 local makers, Foxtrot is committed to showcasing more up-and-coming brands, the company said.

Looking to take its presence nationwide, Foxtrot announced last month plans to open stores in the Austin, Texas, area.
