Filipino grocer Island Pacific Supermarkets is closing six of its California locations in National City, San Jose, American Canyon, Rancho Cucamonga, Chula Vista and Los Angeles. The closures are part of the retailer’s turnaround plan in an effort to consolidate operations to introduce greater efficiencies into the chain, according to a company statement.

Founded in 2000 in Panorama City, Calif., Island Pacific offers fresh seafood, meat, produce and grocery products, specializing in Filipino and Asian cuisine. After shuttering its doors in 2014, just two years after its initial opening, the retailer’s Rancho Cucamonga location reopened in 2016, according to local news sources, but is again set for closure.

Under the supervision of a joint venture of Tiger Capital Group and Great American Group, each closing location is currently offering liquidation discounts, which will carry on until all merchandise has been sold. The retailer’s remaining 17 stores will continue to operate their businesses as usual.

“We encourage consumers to shop early to take advantage of the best selection of products,” said a spokesperson for the joint venture group. “Given the tremendous savings that this event offers, we are sure that merchandise will be selling off very quickly.”

The joint venture group also said select fixtures, furnishings and equipment in the closing stores will also be for sale.

The locations of the six closing Island Pacific stores are:

  • 2720 E. Plaza Blvd., National City, CA 91950

  • 2115 Morrill Ave., San Jose, CA 95132

  • 5201 Sonoma Blvd. #7, Rancho Square, American Canyon, CA 94589

  • 12188 E Foothill Blvd., Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91739

  • 865 E H Street., Chula Vista, CA 91910

  • 627 North Vermont Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90004
